About River Rocks and Reflections I
A square view looking straight down onto shallow river water, with no horizon and no sky. The upper right and centre are filled with broken bands of gold, ochre and cream where sunlit banks are mirrored on the surface, while the left side and lower corner hold cool cornflower blue and lilac reflections. Rounded stones in grey, mauve and plum sit across the whole surface, some half submerged, others catching a pale highlight on top. Horizontal streaks of colour describe the ripples.
The colour is split almost evenly between warm gold and cool blue, so the print reads as bright without being loud. Its character comes from that flicker of broken reflection: the shapes only resolve into water and stones when you step back.
Suits a bathroom, ensuite or bedroom where the blue and gold reads as calm rather than busy, and works in beach house and coastal interiors. Square format fits neatly above a vanity, a bedhead or a low sideboard. Pairs with pale timber, linen bedding, brushed brass tapware and soft grey tiles.
