About Seaside Abstract
A square composition split roughly in half. The lower portion is a deep teal and green mass that reads as a swell of water, its surface broken by pale scalloped lines, small bubble-like rings and thin streaks of coral and yellow that run along the crests. A small pale circle sits near the upper edge of the dark form like a low moon. Above it the sky is a wash of lemon yellow, peach, apricot and pink, with soft-edged pools of colour bleeding into one another.
Scattered translucent ovals and a mossy olive shape float in the right side of the sky, overlapping the warmer tones like drifting cloud. Fine red capillary lines thread through the upper left. The character is calm but saturated: a warm, glowing sky pressed against cool dark water, with the fluid, marbled edges of poured ink rather than hard drawn shapes.
Suits a coastal or beach house living room, a bedroom above a bed with white or oatmeal linen, or a home office wall that needs colour without pattern. Works against white, pale grey or limewashed walls and pairs with rattan, light timber, brass fittings and plain teal or mustard cushions.
