About Sunset at Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower stands slightly right of centre, its lattice ironwork reading as a dark bronze silhouette against a sky that burns from deep orange at the top to pale gold near the horizon. Thin streaks of cloud and a long vapour trail cut diagonally across the upper half. At the left the sun sits as a small white disc just above a low, hazy band of Paris rooftops and bare winter trees, its light spilling into the haze around the tower's base.
In the foreground the wet stone terrace of the Trocadero reflects the sky in broad amber bands, with two small figures standing together beneath the tower's arch. The mood is quiet and warm, a single monument held in strong backlight.
Portrait format suits a narrow wall in a hallway, between windows, or above a bedside table or console. The warm orange and bronze tones sit well with timber furniture, tan leather, brass lamps and cream walls, and work in a living room, bedroom or home office with other travel photography.
