The square composition is built entirely from horizontal bands stacked from top to bottom, reading like a horizon broken into strips. Pale cream and soft grey fill the upper quarter, then a dark brown line separates a wide ochre band from a muted sage green. Turquoise and white run through the centre like water catching light, while the lower half is dominated by a broad rust and copper band edged with near-black. The base returns to cream, olive and sand, crossed by thin rust-red lines.

Textures are visible across the surface: fine crazing and hairline cracks in the pale lower band, scraped and dragged edges where one colour meets the next, and areas where a darker layer shows through the lighter colour above it. The character is warm and weathered, an abstract that still suggests land, sea and sky without describing any particular place.
