About Times Square Taxi II
A New York taxi cab fills the centre of this landscape image, caught mid-motion as it crosses a wet street. Behind it, oversized block letters spelling TIMES and the start of SQ run across a dark wall, partly worn away. A second car sits behind the taxi at the left edge. Below, a pale reflection carries the word BROADWAY across the road surface, along with the faint markings of a pedestrian crossing. The whole scene is rendered in black, white and grey, with bleached highlights along the roof and bonnet.
The picture has a scraped, layered quality, as though a photograph has been rubbed back and reprinted. Streaks of motion blur across the wheels and body give the cab real speed, while the signage behind stays flat and graphic.
Suits a living room, home office or hallway with concrete, brick or dark timber surfaces. It works above a leather sofa or a desk, and pairs well with other black and white city images, chrome or matt black frames, and grey or charcoal upholstery. The high contrast also lifts a plain white bedroom wall. Browse more canvas prints wall art decor pictures, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
