About Tropical Paradise I
A single fan palm stands centred against a dark chocolate-brown ground, its ribbed fronds spreading in stiff semicircles of olive and sage green, each leaf blade edged with fine pale lines. Clusters of mustard-yellow flowers or seed pods hang just below the crown. The trunk is built from overlapping diamond-shaped scales in tan and rust, dropping to a bed of low strap-leaf foliage in darker green. A wide mottled gold border, flecked and rubbed like aged gilding, frames the inner scene on all four sides.
The effect is that of an old colonial plate reproduced at scale: formal, symmetrical and quiet, with warm antique gold holding the dark centre in place. Colours stay deep and earthy rather than tropical-bright, giving the palm a stately, library-print character.
Works in a dining room, home office or hallway where timber furniture, leather and rattan already sit. Pairs naturally with its companion palm print as a matching set above a sideboard, and suits beach-house or colonial-style rooms with cream walls, brass lamps and woven baskets.
