About Unbridled I
A single horse stands with its body angled away and its head turned back over the left shoulder, filling most of this portrait composition. Its coat runs from deep crimson across the chest and neck into violet and blue-black over the hindquarters, with teal and pale grey catching the muzzle and brow. The pale cream tail lifts away from the rump. Behind it, a burnt-orange and ochre field is streaked with vertical drips, and the lower third breaks into dark bronze and navy strokes that read as ground.
The mood is quiet but charged: the backward glance and the raw, bleeding colour give the animal presence without any detailed realism.
Works above a bed or a leather sofa where the orange ground can pick up timber, tan hide and brass.
