Privacy Policy
Your privacy, protected.
EFFECTIVE 19 OCTOBER 2014
DirectArtAustralia.com.au is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. This Privacy Policy sets out how Direct Art Australia (the "Site", "us" or "we") uses and protects any information you ("you" or "user") provide when you use the Site. Questions? Contact us at info@directartaustralia.com.au.
Information we collect and how we use it
To use certain areas and features of the Site, we may require information that identifies you personally, which may include your name, company name, email address, billing address, telephone number and credit card / payment account information.
This information may be used to verify your identity, create your account, bill you for products purchased, send invoices and receipts, and correspond with you (such as email newsletters or correspondence initiated by you). All email newsletters contain unsubscribe instructions, and you can contact us at info@directartaustralia.com.au to be removed from our mailing list at any time. We will never sell or share your personal information with any persons or organisations except when required by law for the investigation of illegal or criminal activities, the exercise of legal rights, or defence against legal claims.
Your credit card information
At the time of payment, your credit card information is passed securely using 128-bit SSL to our payment gateway. We never store your credit card information for any reason.
How we keep your information secure
We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to prevent unauthorised access, modification, disclosure or loss of your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee that information will never be disclosed in a manner that conflicts with this policy, and we are not responsible for breaches or actions by third parties that receive the information.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file sent to your browser and stored on your computer; it cannot access your computer or files stored on it. We use cookies to remember your preferences and personalise content. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can change your browser settings to decline them — though this may prevent you taking full advantage of the website.
Online advertising
We use Google Ads Remarketing to advertise across the internet, displaying relevant ads based on the parts of our website you have viewed, by placing a cookie on your machine. This cookie does not identify you or give access to your computer. If you'd rather not participate, you can opt out via Google's Ads Preferences Manager, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at networkadvertising.org/choices.
How we store data
We use external vendors and hosting companies to provide the software, hardware, storage, networking and other technology required to provide the service.
Controlling your personal information
We make every effort to give you access to your personal information, to correct inaccuracies, or to remove it at your request — provided it is not required for genuine business purposes or by law to be retained. To request access, correction or removal, contact info@directartaustralia.com.au; we will action your request within 7 business days.
Updates and changes
Occasionally we may change this Privacy Policy. Should we do so, we will post a notification on the Site. Changes take effect from the date posted.
