About Abstract Poppy Wall Art Print
Six red poppies stand in a loose row across a wide panoramic field of cream, sand and pale ochre. The blooms vary in scale: two large open heads at left and right, a wide double flower low in the centre, a tall tufted head in the middle, plus two small buds that sit lower on slender stems. Petals are blocked in deep crimson with darker maroon shadows and a few lighter red edges, while the stems are thin strokes of olive green tipped with black.
The background carries scratched vertical lines, fine black twig marks and washes of tan that bleed into the cream, giving the surface a worn, plaster-like look. Tiny drips and flecks of red and black scatter between the stems. The character is quiet but bold: a limited palette where six saturated reds do all the work against a soft, neutral ground.
The long panoramic shape suits a wall above a sofa, a bedhead, a hallway run or the space above a buffet in a dining room. The cream and sand ground sits easily with oak, rattan and linen, while the crimson picks up red cushions, terracotta pots or a dark timber table. Also works in a home office or ladies' room.
